Cognizant liable to pay dividend distribution tax on buyback of shares worth Rs 19,000 crore: ITAT The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal has ordered that a Rs 19,000-crore share buyback undertaken by by technology major Cognizant in 2017-18 attracts dividend distribution tax.
